🤯 MYSTERY AI LINK 🤯
This link leads to one of the most interesting things I’ve seen in AI recently.

💬 PROMPT OF THE DAY:
Design a 7-minute work or school shutdown routine that helps my brain stop carrying unfinished tasks into the evening. Include capture loose ends, choose tomorrow's first task, close tabs/materials, and one sentence that signals I am done for today.
What’s cookin’? Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has filed to go public under the ticker “ANT,” potentially as soon as November. The filing gives investors a rare look inside one of the world’s biggest AI companies. Anthropic reported roughly $16.3 billion in first-half revenue, up sharply from last year, but also posted an enormous $80.7 billion net loss. Even more striking: the company has committed hundreds of billions of dollars to future computing, cloud infrastructure, and data center capacity. Anthropic says that spending could help AI accelerate medical discoveries, boost productivity, improve government services, and expand access to expertise — while also acknowledging serious risks around misuse, surveillance, autonomous AI, and job disruption.
🤔 Hunter’s take: The most interesting number here isn’t the revenue. It’s the spending. Anthropic is basically betting that intelligence will become valuable enough to justify staggering infrastructure costs. If that bet works, this IPO could look cheap in hindsight. If AI progress slows or the risks become expensive, those commitments become very expensive baggage.
What’s cookin’? Microsoft is offering voluntary buyouts to around 60,000 employees as it pours enormous amounts of money into AI infrastructure. The offer covers eligible workers in the U.S., Canada, India, and the U.K., or roughly 27% of Microsoft’s workforce. The company is spending heavily on data centers and AI computing, with quarterly capital spending expected to top $50 billion. At the same time, Microsoft says AI tools are making teams like engineering, sales and supply chain more efficient. Employees who accept the offer will leave at the end of December.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Maybe I’m being too cynical, but I read this as: “Here’s your chance to take some money and leave before we potentially make that decision for you.” Microsoft isn’t saying more layoffs are coming, but after already cutting thousands of jobs while AI makes parts of the company more efficient, it’s hard not to see the subtext. Voluntary buyouts are basically the nicer version of cutting headcount—you give people an incentive to walk out the door instead of pushing them. And if enough people take the offer, Microsoft gets leaner without another ugly layoff headline. Welcome to the softer side of the AI efficiency push.
