What’s new? Microsoft has enhanced its AI assistant, Copilot, giving it a friendlier voice and more advanced features.

What are the new features?

  • Friendlier Voice: Copilot now has a more conversational and approachable tone, created by a team of psychologists, novelists, and comedians, making interactions feel more natural.

  • Verbal Feedback: Copilot can now respond with casual verbal cues like “cool” and “huh,” making it seem like an active listener during conversations.

  • Copilot Vision: Users can now talk to Copilot about content they see in their Microsoft Edge browser.

  • Web Page Analysis: Copilot can now analyze web pages as users browse, helping them interact with content more intelligently.

  • Think Deeper: Copilot can now help users reason through complex choices, such as deciding between two cities to move to.

  • Context Learning: This coming feature will allow Copilot to learn from users’ Word documents, desktops, and even gaming consoles, with user permission.

What’s new? Raspberry Pi and Sony have collaborated to launch a new AI Camera module that aims to streamline edge AI development.

Want the details? The AI Camera, priced at $70, is designed to help Raspberry Pi users easily process visual data for various applications, such as training AI models on image and video. Powered by Raspberry Pi’s RP2040 chip and Sony’s IMX500 image sensor, the camera can process AI tasks without the need for additional, expensive hardware like accelerators or GPUs.

For camera nerds: With a 12.3-megapixel sensor, the camera captures video at either 10fps at 4056x3040 resolution or 40fps at 2028x1520. It also includes adjustable focus and a 76-degree field of view, all packed into a compact 25x24x11.9mm size.
