GOOGLE’S AI MODE MAKES SEARCH PERSONAL 🔎
What’s up? Google has brought its “Personal Intelligence” feature into AI Mode. This tailors Search results by securely tapping into your Gmail and Google Photos — if you opt in.
How does it work? This update lets Search feel more like a personal assistant. When enabled, it can use info like your upcoming trips from Gmail or past photos to suggest better restaurant ideas, packing tips, or even products you might like based on your past purchases, photos, and conversations. For example, it might suggest a coat for an upcoming trip to Chicago in March based on your flight details, clothing style, and shopping habits — no need to manually type all that in. For AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, it’s now rolling out in Labs with a broader rollout to come.
Why does this matter? Instead of one-size-fits-all answers, Search now understands you. It’s more efficient, personalized, and time-saving. And you stay in control — it’s opt-in, private, and you can turn it off anytime. But it’s also a little creepy to think about AI reading your emails and looking at your photos …
APPLE IS SECRETLY DEVELOPING A WEARABLE AI PIN 🤫
What’s up? Apple is reportedly developing a wearable AI pin with cameras, microphones, and a speaker, aiming to bring AI into everyday life in a new way.
Want some details? According to The Information, Apple is working on a small, disc-shaped wearable device—similar in size to a thicker AirTag—that clips onto clothing and includes two cameras (standard and wide-angle), three microphones, a speaker, and a physical button. It will wirelessly charge like the Apple Watch. The idea is to capture your surroundings and interact with AI on the go, possibly in connection with a revamped Siri. This could change how we interact with technology in our daily lives—no screens, just voice and AI.
